Infant CPR and Safety

This class is designed for new or expectant parents, grandparents, babysitters or anyone who deals with infants, from birth to one year, on a regular basis.

What We Will Cover

The course is designed in conjunction with the guidelines established by the American Heart Association.

Attendees can expect to learn:

  • Child CPR (1 to 8 years old) will be briefly addressed.
  • Choking Maneuvers
  • Electrical Safety
  • Household Hazards
  • Infant Resuscitation
  • Poison Prevention
  • Specialized CPR Skills
  • Water Safety

  • How much does this class cost?

    $30 per person, if you are delivering at USC-VHH
    $35 per person, if you deliver elsewhere

Note: This class requires a separate registration for each individual.

How is payment collected?

A payment form will be sent directly to you with payment options of Mastercard and Visa credit cards or by check. All payments are due before the beginning of the class.

How long does this class take?

This class is 2 hours long.

When is this class?

This class meets twice each month.

  • Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Monday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Classes are conducted in person. To protect your yourself and others during the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees are required to wear masks and maintain a 6-foot distance from other people.

  • When is the ideal time to take this class for best results?

    The ideal time to take this class is between the sixth and eighth months of your pregnancy. This class is limited to the first 12 registrants, so please fill out the form below to secure your spot.
