A history of commitment and support

Formed in 1982 by the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation, the Caduceus Society is composed of philanthropic medical staff, whose membership is an integral part of the hospital’s financial support. Funds raised are used to support the purchase of capital medical equipment, facility improvements and the medical staff endowment fund.

Philanthropic support from the medical staff of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is critical to the hospital’s success. Through annual dues, physicians generously continue a personal and professional relationship with the community and the hospital, underscoring the importance of the mission of providing the community with exceptional care.

While an investment in the hospital and the community offers its own rewards, members of the Caduceus Society also receive additional benefits that further their commitment to USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Over the years, the society has donated and re-invested nearly $1 million back into the hospital, funding equipment and programs that provide direct, positive impact on patient care across all medical disciplines.
